my day has entirely revolved around damien echols, jason baldwin, and jessie misskelley, also known as the west memphis three. i won't go into their back story, they've been in prision for 18 years for a crime they did not commit. that's almost my whole life, which i find disgusting.
yesterday when i heard that 2 of the 3 were going to be released IF they pleaded guilty, it became all i thought about, all i could talk about.
today, for the majority of the day, i had 2 live streamings from outside the court house. i was really impatient during it all. there was a press conference with someone and they announced that they'd been freed. i can't think of how to describe how i felt, other than i was thinking my eyeballs were going to explode if i didn't cry. they said that all 3 pleaded guilty but still remained innocent, which really quite annoyed me. they just got evidence to prove they didn't do it, why wouldn't they rely on that?
when the guys came out for the press, that is when my eyes exploded. it was just so weird, i knew this day would happen, but i just couldn't comprehend, it was actually happening.
they addressed that they pleaded guilty because they didn't want to spend any longer in there, it was their soonest chance for freedom. my favourite part was jason baldwin explaining so passionately that he was doing it for damien, yes 3 children were killed, but they couldn't have had damien loose his life from this too. a spokesperson for jason then explained that jason was originally against the idea of pleading guilty, he wanted to continue fighting for the truth to be proven. he only agreed to do it to save damiens life.
i know i haven't made it sound so impressive as he said it, but really it was the most touching thing i had ever heard. their hug after that was beautiful too, it just made me so happy.
although justice has not really been served for any of the west memphis three, or the victims who were murdered, i am so happy that they are at least out of prison, they can finally have their lives back.

i suppose i have an hour to kill cause i want to see if i can get orange wednesday tickets at midnight. usually typing a load of bollocks on here takes up enough time.
god, what has happened since i last updated? haven't posted anything proper since june, it's like half a month til september now. i guess it's cause i've decided to write a journal now. it's not really that much different from blogging. i dunno, it's nicer, i can express myself more in it. it's probably the only book i'll ever write.
i don't even remember anything interesting to happen before i went to paris. it was really the most beautiful city, really miss being there. okay, i typed a load of crap saying i would do a separate paris blog, but i guess i'll just bullet point highlights i can remember:
then after only 2 days home, i had rebellion fest. never been to blackpool before, really was expecting it to be better, but it was just like being at a different part of whitley bay sea front that i'd never seen before.
the b&b owner was obsessed with me. i know it's pretty stupid coming from me considering the way i dress, but i don't like loads of attention. he complimented me every single time he saw me, compared me to amy lame. i don't know much about her other than she's a lesbian, which is great, after spending my high school years convincing everyone i wasn't a lesbian :-)
oh god, standing in the queue behind the biggest poser couple i'd ever met. they never knew mouthwash broke up, and thought that because they're playing reading and leeds, that they definitely hadn't broke up. idiots. and the girl was coming out with shit like "got some of the clothes during my emo phase" "used to wear the best make up when i was a goth" "I'M NOT THE PUNKIEST PUNK HERE, WHAT THE FUCK"
erm i should've done the bullet point thing with this too, oh well. i have 10 minutes til an hour has past, so maybe just going to share a couple of cool bands.
OKAY SO TIRED NOW, 1 HOUR 20 MINUTES TO DO THIS.

i don't even remember anything interesting to happen before i went to paris. it was really the most beautiful city, really miss being there. okay, i typed a load of crap saying i would do a separate paris blog, but i guess i'll just bullet point highlights i can remember:
- creepy asian woman i had to sit on on the flight who wouldn't put her bag in the luggage part.
- "do you have any rubbish?" "no thanks" - nice one leyla.
- once we got to paris, and put our stuff in the hotel, we decided to stroll by the eiffel tower, bare in mind this was like around midnight, there were still a few people hanging out. marc decided he wanted to have a run, which we all thought was pretty bizarre. there were police close by cause there was a mysterious bag that someone left, and they thought marc had left it, and they stopped him, omg. it was so stupid.
- not long after that leyla fell and fell facing up, like what she did at dickies, omg. it's her thing now. spin falls.
- tuesday, first full day. queued 4 hours to get to the top of the eiffel tower. totally worth it. got to look down on everything. really, paris is such an astonishly pretty city, can not get over it.
- moulin rouge, pigalle, creepy places.
- went to hippo again, omg, we should've learnt from last time, but it wasn't that bad. they just hire young people who don't know english.
- inception bridge was like 5 minutes away from our hotel, wwwwooooo
- 1 euro wine, basically a couple of pence in GBP.
- wednesday, stanley kubrick exhibit, a clockwork orange and the shining are 2 of my favourites, i still really have to watch them again after that. oh man, i met my doppleganger there too. same hair, except she had a pink fringe. she had the cutest polka dot peter pan collar dress, and dr marten mary jane's. mannnnnn.
- ate my first ever macron, lushly raspberry flavoured.
- auuuuuuuuuuuuux champs elysee, doodoodoodoodooooooo
- had a mcdonalds mcbeer. apparently you weren't allowed to take them out the cafe, but i took it out. rebel or? but really, i thought it would be out of a fountain thing, it was just a can of lager.
- thursday, versailles. beautiful palace, god aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhghgh. honestly was stalking michel gondry when we were in the town, but sadly never found him. i will find him one day.
- went back to champs elysee, saw 'midnight in paris', very suitable film being in paris, but really doesn't come out in the uk forever, and i was dying to see it. it was really cute, owen wilson, very wes andersony, so it fed that fix.
- friday, the louvre. we really spent loads of time there, it's massive, but aaaaagh. i met mona lisa in real life, wow wee. yes, i did sing panic! at the disco at it, no shame.
- pretty sure we got pizza that day awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
- saturday, salvidor dali exhibit. was kinda cute, never really looked at his stuff since high school art when my art teacher complained i was poo at art research, like fuck you i have a salvidor dali book, i saved latin, what did you ever do?
- got food poisoning from one of the grilled cheese things i was so excited to try. total let down. least favourite part of the holiday. wasn't very helpful going in the pigalle shops with a storm in my stomach. really though, it was like one of the top 5 worst experiences in my life ever ever ever. and i had to miss michel gondry film screening, fuck you cheese toasty.
- sunday, cemetery search. was so hot, felt like joining the dead people. but really i wasn't ill.
- hard rock cafe, ate for the first time in 24 hours, and basically ate just the chips and left everything else, set me back 21 euros. omg though they were playing the ramones and radiohead. i found an old tom delonge photo on the wall too, homie.
- monday last day waa waa waa notre dame was canny pretty though
- 9 euro for a coke for marc and liv omg
- okay this took up all the time it's not even everything.
then after only 2 days home, i had rebellion fest. never been to blackpool before, really was expecting it to be better, but it was just like being at a different part of whitley bay sea front that i'd never seen before.
the b&b owner was obsessed with me. i know it's pretty stupid coming from me considering the way i dress, but i don't like loads of attention. he complimented me every single time he saw me, compared me to amy lame. i don't know much about her other than she's a lesbian, which is great, after spending my high school years convincing everyone i wasn't a lesbian :-)

erm i should've done the bullet point thing with this too, oh well. i have 10 minutes til an hour has past, so maybe just going to share a couple of cool bands.
- world/inferno friendship society, acoustic and electric sets, CUTE BAND!
- old firm casuals, lars frederiksen (oh bumped into him earlier in the day, second time's a charmy) not really into the new skinhead obsession of his, but really wasn't all that bad knowing he's from rancid (sad)
- OFF! killed it. probably my favourite set of that day. so amazing seeing keith morris live, for someone whoes almost 60 he's got so much fucking energy. he handled heckling amazingly "i've heard worse" and told that bastard off. plus his emotional moment, the tears in his eyes. christ geuoahoieghg. such an inspirational man.
- creepshow, band i've liked for a while, but clearly didn't listen to enough of beforehand. cute though.
- restarts, i liked what they were saying, really smart. got to listen to more of them.
- a wilhelm scream, hardcore, kind of out of place, but i enjoyed them. bass guy wouldn't stop looking at me, jeez. had an appropriate song title "me vs morrissey in the pretentiousness contest"
- BOUNCING SOULS!!!!!!!! highlight of my weekend. god, really perfect experience. right at the barrier. goosebumps, i really relate to so many of their songs right now, i just felt it all the way through. i had never been squished like that in ages, loads of alcohol over me, it was what i'd been missing dude. oh and greg high fived me, CUTE LIFETIME.
- GBH, the damned, eeeeeeehh was tired but at least i can add them to my list.
- random hand, never do a shit performance, yeeeeeeeeeaoooooooo
- street dogs, been waiting to see those, finally. pretty cute.
- capdown, excellent. joe got to crowdsurf too. robin from random hand joined him, omg.
- the dickies. basically did what they did when i saw them less than a month ago, but really, how do they have the energy to do it all? always one of my favourites. oh and a couple of girls threw bananas off them, sassiest idea EVER.
- pennywise, was a bit tipsey, so me and joe were in the sitting area not actually watching the band properly. there were 2 creepy skinheads kept looking at us, obviously nazi anti woman men, euuuurgh. but they pennywise had a nice set, i think next time they're playing i should go and actually watch them.
- the grit. they were amazing, but really i was not comfortable and this guy i met previously in the night was bugging me. god someone should've killed him.
- dirty revolution, aaaaaaaargh (acoustic and electric) new cuties
- the skints, another favourite from the weekend. they were drunk/high/something jesus.
- stza crack, need more leftover crack in my life now
- the beat, really lifted my mood, a lot, god really perfect live, my favourite of that day.
- the adicts, wish i could've watched more of them, but arghhhhhhh
- jello biafra, i just wanted to hear his voice live, couldn't be fucked with new music, but apparently he played dead kennedy songs, the fucker.
OKAY SO TIRED NOW, 1 HOUR 20 MINUTES TO DO THIS.

germany/france/switzerland
hello, oh god i feel like i haven't been on here forever, but here it goes, my massive blog.
so on monday i spent the last day shopping with my mam in town. last few things such as the glasses i wanted, and new clothes and what not.
we had a meal at wetherspoons, and got terrible service. i need to e-mail them to complain actually because my mam told me so after my holiday.
got to leylas house at around 10, obviously the last one cause i didn't want to watch the tv stuff her and liv like. headed off for stansted at 11. it took until 5 in the morning to get there. the journey was so long, and i felt like i got no sleep at all.
in the airport it was basically empty, until everyone queued up to drop off their luggage. of course, something would be wrong, and our boarding passes said that there was no lugguage checked on the boarding passes, and we had to sort that out, making us at the end of the massive queue. i was scared incase i had to throw away my clothes or something. but it got sorted and everything was okay!
when we got in i don't recall much happening, time flew. there was a hmv there and i was drooling at the cheaper dvds that i couldn't afford. i could afford a chocolate frappicino from starbucks though. we were sitting next to an american guy who was most obviously annoyed by how hyper we were or something.
um the flight to germany was at 7. it was very quick, i think it must have been 15 minutes early. on the flight we were reading through magazines together being generally hyper.
through passport control, the person who spoke to us was obviously having fun at his job and asked us all silly questions. he said to me "so what are you doing here, coming to party?"
when we got there, it wasn't as warm as i was expecting it to be. i figure thats because it was 9am.
leylas auntie carol was in the airport waiting for us. she was much less scarier than i was expecting! she drove us to a supermarket called real to pick up some things to eat. she let us look around the shop ourselves, and of corse we wanted to check the price of alcohol. lots of beer and wine, lushious.
for our breakfast, carol had bought us some bread buns. they were definately different to the ones they sell over here. even the small things like that prooved i wasn't at home anymore.
we got to the house. it was well and truely massive. 4 storeys, and one of those was for me liv and leyla to share. i met some more of leylas family, pascal and dimitri. this was one of the only times i saw dimitri on the whole stay there, and i never got to speak to him.
after having a general welcome to the home, we went into the town centre to work out where everything was. the first things we bought was an energy drink and an ice cream. i got an after eight ice cream, liv got muffin flavoured ice cream, and leyla got lemon ice cream which she kept calling shaving foam.
not long after we went back for lunch which was this weird meatball and rice meal, which was nice.
hmm, i don't really remember what else we did. leyla and liv went in the pool for a bit, and i had a shower cause i didn't bring a swimming costume.
i also met natalie, leylas last cousin.
for our tea we had a barbeque, and apparently it wasn't very normal for it. also, afterwards we had a beer, just because we could.
the next day we left earlyish for strasbourg in france.
the first time on a train in germany, and it was packed. nicer than a metro though, a lot lot more. i think people in germany actually care unlike the people in newcastle.
we had a change in appenweier for 40 minutes. we sat around and made videos/took photos, and time went by so fast.
the next train was worse. i felt like i was going to faint, it was so packed. i had a german man breathing onto my face ugh. i was sweating, grosssssssie.
france was goregous. the hotel was right infront of the train station.
in the hotel we got upgraded to a family room, and it was perfect. we all picked the beds we wanted. we spent quite a bit of the time in the hotel room watching french tv, (mr bean, french cartoons and the music channel), but not long after we went to look around everywhere else. it seemed more touristy than in buhl, so at least we weren't completely out of place.
we bought slushes, and the heat melted them straight away, it was quite amusing.
we found virgin megastores, and we were all excited for various resons. leylas being, they sold shutter island there and not yet at home. it was 20euro though, not really worth it.
what was also amusing, was the fact the films had different names, for example twilight was hesitation, the hangover was called very bad trip, and street dance 3d was called sexy dance.
i recall finding a concert hall thing, and seeing a festival line-up poster up. only a few days after we were back home, bad religion were headlining a festival there. gutted! would have been such a great experience, not only seeing one of my favourite bands, but my first ever gig in another country. i should arrange to go abroad for gigs another time though, the idea sounds nice.
we sat near that venue with ice cream from a van. me and liv got this double flavoured on, strawberry and lemon i think, and leyla got this manderin/blood orange or something. she wasn't happy with it, and threw it on the floor after a few licks.
we found a spar there, and i bought a cheap bottle of wine there, whilst leyla and liv bought smirnoff ice. the perrier water had dita von teese on and i was like "oh god whaaat", and i must have forgot to buy it or something. that's something i wish i done now, but nevermind!
for lunch we ended up going to mcdonalds. it was the last thing we wanted, but it was raining, and we didn't want to go far. we also arranged to see inception again, since it was only french subtitles. seeing it again did help me understand it further in ways i didn't even imagine. it made me enjoy it more, and the things that annoyed me previously were forgotten about. i don't think i could watch it again for a while though since i saw it in less than a week of the first time i saw it.
it was the first time liv saw it, and she had no clue what me and leyla were talking about.
when we got back we watched the freddie mercury documentry. it reminded me of media studies in AS, cause i said it was my favourite documentry. obviously i didn't watch it close enough, because i discovered freddie mercury was indian. weird maaaan.
i knew i would enjoy mentioning this bit, because i think it was brilliant despite how much i was shitting myself.
so liv had went in the shower, and me and leyla were chatting. our door knocked, and leyla casually shouted "LIV STOP KNOCKING THE DOOR WHILE YOUR SHITTING!" and then she said "it's not me man"
i knew it wasn't her, but leyla insisted on warning her to stop. til liv opened the bathroom door, at the same time as the person knocked on our door again. i literally jumped, it was the biggest fright ever. thinking about it, it's so fucking funny.
we were silent for the rest of the time. i moved my bed closer to the bunk bed liv and leyla stayed on.
but i figured it was someone to kill us at the door. we couldn't get the window closed, and it was a room we were upgraded to. none of the doors had peep-holes too, it could've been anyone.
i guess it must've been someone telling us to be quiet.
oh and i only got burnt on my back, just cause i put sun cream on everywhere else. i felt so proud, it's the only time thats ever seemed to happen in my life. i think that day was one of the only ones i needed sun cream on the most.
the next day we tried to go to places we hadn't came across yet, such as the cathedral. all around it there were beggers, the people who pretend to be statues, those people who sell cheapy fake items. also, every shop in that area tended to either sell tacky holiday souviners, or over-priced resturant food.
we found a footlocker, and liv bought a pair of trainers. the guy who served her kept talking to us about england, and i recall him shouting to his collueges "FROM NEWCASTLE"
oh and liv got undercharged somehow, i can't really remember what happened.
we found a indie cinema that day and they were still showing shutter island, and we arranged all day to see that. we got lost looking for the toilets. not only was it raining really heavy, we were cold and lost. we decided instead of being late for the cinema, just go back to the hotel and have food. although plans were changed once we found an internet cafe.
half an hour there: 20 minutes attempting to log into facebook, 10 minutes writing everything i wanted to say in a hurry.
once we got back to the hotel we sat and watched tv for aaaaages.
we had tea at a resturant called hippo, which was probably the equivilant to frankie and bennys here, except less italian american, more typical resturant food.
we thought it would be easy to understand things, but it was quite daunting trying to work out what the things really were.
we all got this set menu thing, and we all picked a burger for the main since it was the most obvious option for us. it was alright, just like any other burger, nothing special to it.
for the desert, both me and liv had ben and jerrys, again it was the easiest to understand, plus, why say no to it? leyla wanted to try something new, and she picked something that had either a chocolate or caramel option. she insisted she'd get caramel, but when the waitress came over, she assumed she wanted chocolate and leyla nodded. it turned out leyla picked rice pudding with chocolate sauce on. she was so confused, and she couldn't eat all of it.
we stayed in the hotel all after that, we didn't want to get back too late like the previous night.
we just watched whatever was on really. we found skins on one channel and watched 2 episodes of that, completely in french. then 30 rock was on tv, not a programme any of us care about, but steve buscemi came on, and obviously leyla made a fuss about it.
the next morning we had to be up early and we had 7 hours waiting around for our train.
we just went in shops we'd been in before. in virgin megastores we all found cds. i bought a lagwagon cd for 3 euro. there was an alkaline trio one aswell for 5euro but i already had it on my ipod, so there was no point in buying a copy. i didn't have many euro with my in france anyway.
we spent an hour in the internet cafe, and it was there i discovered i didn't get the place for the tv course at newcastle college. i was pretty bummed about that, but i tried not to get too upset about it and just relax on holiday. but it wasn't very great after that, my computer suddenly went off, and i had 5 minutes left. annoyeddd.
once we were out of the internet cafe, we had past this shop that sold music merchendice, i first spotted green day action figures. when we first wanted to go in it was closed, so we tried the second time. it wasn't as great as it appeared really. the whole shop was halved, one side was jewellry and random pieces of shit with band names on, the otherside was clothes, hoodies and band shirts.
awkward shop really. would've been nicer on a day i could actually have afforded something from there.
we sat outside the catheideral and we were confronted by a german man. i was pretty scared by him, but liv and leyla were having a good laugh at him. he kept making lion noises, and he was trying to ask if the cathederal was for arabs.
after discovering we were english he tried to say wonderful, and obviously liv would interupt him and shout "WONDER BRA?"
leyla was leaning on the door, and her laughing made the door knock. it was crazy.
the last couple of hours, we decided to go and see shutter island. we went to a sandwich cafe called 'pomme de pain'
the guy who served us was weird, ughhh. liv got a ham sandwich, coke and a cookie. me and leyla got this tuna and egg sandwich (which i didn't know had eggs in, i wasn't pleased!) and muffins. they were giant. i was pretty gutted about my sandwich really, but the place was nice.
when we got to the cinema i needed the toilet, and in the cinema screen we were in apparently there were toilets. we went to the door, and i think they were just for show. no light switch, and the doors basically went to the same place.
i found a mens toilet, and leyla told me to hold onto the door incase anyone came in. it was scary, a man shoved the door open even though i was pulling it, then he went "OH, DESOLE!" and closed the door. i was so embaressed and scared, and leyla was literally wetting herself laughing.
the cinema was nice though. 2 floors for the screen, i think most people went on the top floor, however we went on the bottom floor seating. nice red velvet seats, but nearer the end of the film i realised how low down to the floor they were.
i burped accidently through the film.
we made our way to the train station, on the way going to the supermarket for crisps and stuff. liv bought magazines, i don't even remember how many but certainly more than 1.
on the help cards, we were given the wrong platform number, and we were lost. after finding help, we went straight to our platform. i was just excited to get back to germany and put my bags down.
we were sitting waiting for the train, and from a distance this young man was walking over, and leyla nudged me and said "it's mclovin"
and when he came right over to us i got scared. he was american, and he said "do you guys speak english"
i forgot what he asked after that, but it was awkward. the train was back not long after.
we got picked up at buhl station by leylas uncle, who had been away when we first got to germany.
once i got back to the home, i went straight to the shower. i was desperate for a bathroom with a lock, oh god.
the next day we went to another part of germany that wasn't so far away from buhl with carol and natalie.
we had a chinese box thing, i had rice chicken stuff, and added soy sauce which made it perfect. leyla added chili sauce to hers and it made her lose her appitite really.
we went in a few clothes shops and things, then we seperated from carol and natalie so we could look for dvd shops. we found a place called media markt, which was kind of like currys, but had a dvd/cd section.
in the dvds we found extreme movie, which both me and leyla had been searching for! we got really excited about that. but leyla got even more excited about the rebound being on dvd there already, and only showing at cinemas in the uk.
another thing interesting about that place is that the music had a section called "black music" and i thought it would be like black metal or something, but when i looked at the cds there were artists such as rihanna and 50cent there..
when we walked out the shop the security man asked to look in my bag, i was so paranoid after that D:
OH GOD, it's now the 24th july 2011
it's a year since i been on this holiday. i've spent 12 months writing that, i give up. i'm not even going to read through it. but just so you know, i still haven't emailled to complain about weatherspoons, omg.
so on monday i spent the last day shopping with my mam in town. last few things such as the glasses i wanted, and new clothes and what not.

we found a spar there, and i bought a cheap bottle of wine there, whilst leyla and liv bought smirnoff ice. the perrier water had dita von teese on and i was like "oh god whaaat", and i must have forgot to buy it or something. that's something i wish i done now, but nevermind!
for lunch we ended up going to mcdonalds. it was the last thing we wanted, but it was raining, and we didn't want to go far. we also arranged to see inception again, since it was only french subtitles. seeing it again did help me understand it further in ways i didn't even imagine. it made me enjoy it more, and the things that annoyed me previously were forgotten about. i don't think i could watch it again for a while though since i saw it in less than a week of the first time i saw it.
it was the first time liv saw it, and she had no clue what me and leyla were talking about.
when we got back we watched the freddie mercury documentry. it reminded me of media studies in AS, cause i said it was my favourite documentry. obviously i didn't watch it close enough, because i discovered freddie mercury was indian. weird maaaan.
i knew i would enjoy mentioning this bit, because i think it was brilliant despite how much i was shitting myself.
so liv had went in the shower, and me and leyla were chatting. our door knocked, and leyla casually shouted "LIV STOP KNOCKING THE DOOR WHILE YOUR SHITTING!" and then she said "it's not me man"
i knew it wasn't her, but leyla insisted on warning her to stop. til liv opened the bathroom door, at the same time as the person knocked on our door again. i literally jumped, it was the biggest fright ever. thinking about it, it's so fucking funny.
we were silent for the rest of the time. i moved my bed closer to the bunk bed liv and leyla stayed on.
but i figured it was someone to kill us at the door. we couldn't get the window closed, and it was a room we were upgraded to. none of the doors had peep-holes too, it could've been anyone.
i guess it must've been someone telling us to be quiet.
oh and i only got burnt on my back, just cause i put sun cream on everywhere else. i felt so proud, it's the only time thats ever seemed to happen in my life. i think that day was one of the only ones i needed sun cream on the most.
the next day we tried to go to places we hadn't came across yet, such as the cathedral. all around it there were beggers, the people who pretend to be statues, those people who sell cheapy fake items. also, every shop in that area tended to either sell tacky holiday souviners, or over-priced resturant food.
we found a footlocker, and liv bought a pair of trainers. the guy who served her kept talking to us about england, and i recall him shouting to his collueges "FROM NEWCASTLE"
oh and liv got undercharged somehow, i can't really remember what happened.
we found a indie cinema that day and they were still showing shutter island, and we arranged all day to see that. we got lost looking for the toilets. not only was it raining really heavy, we were cold and lost. we decided instead of being late for the cinema, just go back to the hotel and have food. although plans were changed once we found an internet cafe.
half an hour there: 20 minutes attempting to log into facebook, 10 minutes writing everything i wanted to say in a hurry.
once we got back to the hotel we sat and watched tv for aaaaages.
we had tea at a resturant called hippo, which was probably the equivilant to frankie and bennys here, except less italian american, more typical resturant food.
we thought it would be easy to understand things, but it was quite daunting trying to work out what the things really were.
we all got this set menu thing, and we all picked a burger for the main since it was the most obvious option for us. it was alright, just like any other burger, nothing special to it.
for the desert, both me and liv had ben and jerrys, again it was the easiest to understand, plus, why say no to it? leyla wanted to try something new, and she picked something that had either a chocolate or caramel option. she insisted she'd get caramel, but when the waitress came over, she assumed she wanted chocolate and leyla nodded. it turned out leyla picked rice pudding with chocolate sauce on. she was so confused, and she couldn't eat all of it.
we stayed in the hotel all after that, we didn't want to get back too late like the previous night.
we just watched whatever was on really. we found skins on one channel and watched 2 episodes of that, completely in french. then 30 rock was on tv, not a programme any of us care about, but steve buscemi came on, and obviously leyla made a fuss about it.
the next morning we had to be up early and we had 7 hours waiting around for our train.
we just went in shops we'd been in before. in virgin megastores we all found cds. i bought a lagwagon cd for 3 euro. there was an alkaline trio one aswell for 5euro but i already had it on my ipod, so there was no point in buying a copy. i didn't have many euro with my in france anyway.
we spent an hour in the internet cafe, and it was there i discovered i didn't get the place for the tv course at newcastle college. i was pretty bummed about that, but i tried not to get too upset about it and just relax on holiday. but it wasn't very great after that, my computer suddenly went off, and i had 5 minutes left. annoyeddd.
once we were out of the internet cafe, we had past this shop that sold music merchendice, i first spotted green day action figures. when we first wanted to go in it was closed, so we tried the second time. it wasn't as great as it appeared really. the whole shop was halved, one side was jewellry and random pieces of shit with band names on, the otherside was clothes, hoodies and band shirts.
awkward shop really. would've been nicer on a day i could actually have afforded something from there.
we sat outside the catheideral and we were confronted by a german man. i was pretty scared by him, but liv and leyla were having a good laugh at him. he kept making lion noises, and he was trying to ask if the cathederal was for arabs.
after discovering we were english he tried to say wonderful, and obviously liv would interupt him and shout "WONDER BRA?"
leyla was leaning on the door, and her laughing made the door knock. it was crazy.
the last couple of hours, we decided to go and see shutter island. we went to a sandwich cafe called 'pomme de pain'
the guy who served us was weird, ughhh. liv got a ham sandwich, coke and a cookie. me and leyla got this tuna and egg sandwich (which i didn't know had eggs in, i wasn't pleased!) and muffins. they were giant. i was pretty gutted about my sandwich really, but the place was nice.
when we got to the cinema i needed the toilet, and in the cinema screen we were in apparently there were toilets. we went to the door, and i think they were just for show. no light switch, and the doors basically went to the same place.
i found a mens toilet, and leyla told me to hold onto the door incase anyone came in. it was scary, a man shoved the door open even though i was pulling it, then he went "OH, DESOLE!" and closed the door. i was so embaressed and scared, and leyla was literally wetting herself laughing.
the cinema was nice though.
OH GOD, it's now the 24th july 2011
it's a year since i been on this holiday. i've spent 12 months writing that, i give up. i'm not even going to read through it. but just so you know, i still haven't emailled to complain about weatherspoons, omg.

been desperate to do another blog on here for ages, i've just never had time when i wanted to the most.
oh man, since reading the last post, that wasn't my last day at college. someone from my class well and truly pissed me off. considered doing a completely different course (long story short, no places on that course til 2012). i'm still not sure what i'll be doing this time next year, but i hope i haven't wasted my time. it's not that i haven't enjoyed the course, it's just certain people. it's always certain people who ruin things, everywhere.
i had my last day of college a few weeks ago, i don't even remember what day. but i discovered a teacher i didn't like used to be a punk, oh my god.
i went back to tyne met. was weird. it's a lot cleaner than when i was there. kind of miss it, made me think, i wish i made the most out of the place.
oh wow.
we had a night out for liv's birthday. i know i said i wasn't going to drink again, but i had lots of wine. and everything was okay. well, a taste of another drink made me spew omg. but we went to all sorts of places. i wasn't looking forward to most of them cause of it being shite music and sweaty and dancing. apparently i was singing along to stuff in a club, but i only remember saying "I KNOW THIS FROM NAPOLEON DYNAMITE"
and we got to go to krash. and i randomly won a t-shirt. i was very very flabbergasted.
and they played +44, which i haven't listened to for a while now. i screamed my heart out, (to the words, and shouting "MARK HOPPUS" when there were no words)
oh (i'm typing things as i remember) on the way to meet liv someone shouted out the car to be "go get a tan".
usually things like that would insult me, but for once, all i can see is the funny side of it. the woman clearly had enough fake tan for the both of us to use, and she had ginger hair.
i wonder if she studied philosophy at university because, infact, her advice was the most insightful thing that anyone has ever given me :)
there's a resturant called pumpherys
i bought my dad a john lennon shirt, a photo frame, a magic coin thing, and cake stuff for his birthday. i made the cake, obviously. but it was brilliant. blue and green and white chocolatey.
i also got him a funky pigeon card with the best message inside.

i experimented more with my hair. i now have a green fringe. as a kid, i would never have dreamt that i'd be dying my hair green every so often. i'm really so cool.
but my real intention was yellow fringe, i'm probably not going to have it done in time for paris, oh ho ho.

i went to see mildred pierce (the tv show) at the cinema recently. it was pretty good. wasn't expecting to enjoy it really, but i got hooked, despite being very hyper and laughing at nonsense. it's a bit annoying that i have to wait for 3 weeks to get to the 3rd episode, that's nearly a month! don't like waiting, dude.
also went to see bad teacher. infront of us, there were a row of jewish people. and it was the best thing ever seeing their reaction at the circumcision joke on the horrible bosses trailer.
but really, the film was okay. when i think about it now, it wasn't really that funny. but i like school films, so it was good for that.

gaaaaaa since my last blog i saw hangover 2, and THAT was funny.
i got new glasses, DDDDDUDDDDDE. really. i have to wear them more. and i'm seriously going blind whenever i don't wear them. the optician said she liked my hair and she used to have purple and pink hair. i like it when people tell me that stuff, it makes me feel like i don't look that odd. people do make me feel that way.
frank turner's new album, cutie.
i'm clearly running out of things to say. gah, i wish i could do this better.
Sunday, 22 May 2011
so it really has been over a month since my last update, oh god. i feel like i don't even have that much to share about what's happened since then, it's kind of flew by. in fact, this whole year has flew by, it's nearly at the halfway point.
seriously, what has happened? boring life forever, innit.
um, i had a job interview. it was crap, i was late for the interview, and i felt pretty patronized by it all. i didn't get the job. but since applying, i kind of found another job i want to do and i really have my hopes up for that. i know i shouldn't really care what i do to earn money, but i want to do something i'd enjoy doing and be proactive at.
tomorrow is my last day at college, i think. either tomorrow, or next week. that's how much they need me there, one day a week for 2 and a half hours. editing a clip of police officers looking for work or something. it's boring, but it takes a lot of time i suppose. and it's an actual module, which i find hard to believe.
it's weird how when i started the course editing was one of the things i most looked forward to. i do enjoy it, but it's so stressy.
um i went to berwick and seahouses with my parents like last week. it made a change from spending the day in the house during a weekday.
at seahouses i was looking for steve zissou to take me away, but obviously he's a lot cooler than that, poooooo. then in berwick we went to a coffee shop, and 2 girls at the front of the shop were wearing dresses i have, and i was buzzing about that. then frank turner came on and i was even more buzzing.
OH GOD, descendents announced leeds fest, suicide planned soon, yes.
liv has been convincing me we're going, but i really don't see it happening. i can't believe i'm missing them again. and the king blues. oh and frank turner's doing a secret set apparently. hot water music and capdown. just naming bands and wanting to die for missing them.
but at least i'm going to rebellion dddddduuuuuuuuuuuddddddeeeeeee.
and i don't have to see offspring and bring me the horizon bollocks, that day in general looks shite. apart from rise against, who i've already seen and don't really care about.
tried giving up drink this month. failed last night. 3 glasses of wine and treble vodka. really bad.
it was an alright night out at first, but by the end i think it spiralled out of control for more than one person, including me. seriously, if anyone wants to get me a drink ever again, just get me tap water (or if you're feeling generous, a diet coke!). i'm not even hungover, i don't get hungover unless i've drank a load more than that, and considering my behaviour last night it really wouldn't be pretty to see that.
i think from now on, if i want an alcoholic drink, i'm just going to have wine, and let it last. even have it mixed with lemonade or something. and i need to deserve it, i shouldn't get it just because it's there. i'm so stupid.
i also want to complain, last night i was talking about the royal tenenbaums to someone, and they thought jude law was in the film...
okay i need to go now, if i probably don't have anything else interesting to put anyway, SIGGGGGGGH POO AND STUFF

i'm awful at updating this blog. it's a great way to kill time, i don't understand why i don't do it anymore.
haha i've been on a descendents high the past month or so, i suppose this is relevant. i don't think it's a good thing that i've been playing them a lot, i'm totally gutted i'm missing them in london this month. i was going to spend my birthday money on trekking down to london by myself and seeing them, but my mam insisted i shouldn't go cause some girl got murdered by a taxi driver(?). it doesn't really make sense to me that she gave me that reason, but i just accepted it.
at least i'm still seeing frank turner this summer. it's weird, the day he announced the show, was the day i spent about 75% of the time moaning about him playing a stupid festival here when i'm going to be at rebellion fest in blackpool. i know rebellion will be a ton more enjoyable than the one here, but just the idea of one of my favourite musicians playing in my home town when i'm not there really bugged me.
having front row tickets for his next gig totally makes up for it. bit sucky that it's seated, but thinking about it, the first time i saw him i nearly passed out, it'll be the first totally seated gig since i saw ronan keating when i was 7...
and while i'm still talking about gigs, blink-182 pushed their tour back another year cause of their album not being ready. i know everyone's been saying 'stfu' about the whole subject, but the fact they've said they've been working on an album since 2009 is kind of a piss take. at least it isn't the first time i'm seeing them, and at least i'm old enough not to get too childish about it. besides, bad religion are playing in glasgow the day i was supposed to be seeing blink here this year. seeing another favourite band would suffice. even though i know i probably won't be going to bad religion, it's kind of keeping me from not being so annoyed at blink.
erm, i produced a short film for college. i was producer for the documentary project too, so i thought this wouldn't be too difficult to do. it was way different. i was with a different crew too, so i suppose it shows the real experience of trying to adapt with other crews.
the director wanted to shoot all of the film in one day because we needed to fit it around the actors timetables. so it was a saturday, which seemed like a hassle to me at first. but i get so much time off, it's stupid. the shoot took all day. realistically a shoot for a 5 minute film takes 2-3 days, but we had to cram it all in to 10 hours.
ohhhh welllllllllllllllllllllllllll.
i enjoy being a producer, but i don't think i'm really suited to it since i find it so difficult to talk to particular people, and i hate phone calls more than life. i think the only way i'd have a producer job in the future is if i had another producer to work alongside me and do all the talking, and i can be the one who whispers all the good ideas in their ear.
it's weird thinking, when i was younger i wanted to direct films, and i didn't even take my shyness and unconfidence into consideration at all. i thought it would be so easy.
i think for now screenwriting will be the way to go, unless wes anderson knocks on my door and asks me to be an intern.
i think like a month ago, i bought the arrested development boxset with all the seasons in, i'd been intending to get it for a while, and seeing it for £30 after having £30 birthday money spare meant i had to get it.
i'm currently addicted to the programme. i think it happens to me with tv shows, i question myself why i ever considered another tv show my favourite. it's also weird thinking i've been a few centimetres away from jason bateman (centimetres is an exaggeration, but then again it isn't). i'm sad to be on the last series now knowing that it's all going to be over, but it's made me laugh so much, no doubt i'll be watching them all again pretty soon. after i've watched all the films i'm yet to watch.
oh god, i still haven't watched some dvds i got for my birthday, and since then i've bought a pile more. need to get back into a film mood. it doesn't help that i have a slight reading mood too.
OH MAN, BORED TO DEATH AS WELL. i'm glad it's on every monday and that i don't have it on dvd. it means it's timetabled into my life.
summer plans have been settled (kind of). going to paris with liv, leyla, and possibly others, not too certain on that just yet. originally we were meant to be going to london and amsterdam too, but i think this is going to be a change from last summer having to have things ready to take everywhere. plus, paris omg, dream holiday destination since i was little!
i'm pretty sure i've been typing for an hour now, and it's not even that much. going to take a break now. my next post will probably be next month HEHEHEHE FUNNY BITCH.
really haven't done anything today. i analysed the dream i had last night. it was a boring dream, i don't really want to ramble on about it, but i kind of got an accurate definition of what it meant. it was something i kind of knew, i think looking up what it meant just reassured it. i don't know why i decided to use the word 'reassured' there, but i wouldn't say it's much of a good thing, or at least not now. ~vaguebitch~
i haven't really analysed my dreams properly for a while now, not since art classes with nailah probably. i think i'm going to keep track of them more with my good old fashioned dream dictionary! my last couple of dreams connected in a way, so i can only imagine something weird is going to happen soon.

i'm currently addicted to the programme. i think it happens to me with tv shows, i question myself why i ever considered another tv show my favourite. it's also weird thinking i've been a few centimetres away from jason bateman (centimetres is an exaggeration, but then again it isn't). i'm sad to be on the last series now knowing that it's all going to be over, but it's made me laugh so much, no doubt i'll be watching them all again pretty soon. after i've watched all the films i'm yet to watch.
oh god, i still haven't watched some dvds i got for my birthday, and since then i've bought a pile more. need to get back into a film mood. it doesn't help that i have a slight reading mood too.
OH MAN, BORED TO DEATH AS WELL. i'm glad it's on every monday and that i don't have it on dvd. it means it's timetabled into my life.
summer plans have been settled (kind of). going to paris with liv, leyla, and possibly others, not too certain on that just yet. originally we were meant to be going to london and amsterdam too, but i think this is going to be a change from last summer having to have things ready to take everywhere. plus, paris omg, dream holiday destination since i was little!
i'm pretty sure i've been typing for an hour now, and it's not even that much. going to take a break now. my next post will probably be next month HEHEHEHE FUNNY BITCH.

so it looks like i haven't been so great with the weekly blogging? haha christ, terrible. i wanted to do a birthday blog again, so here it goes.
i'm actually quite annoyed right now because i wrote down everything i got, and i lost it. not that that i got LOADS, but i don't like missing stuff out.
i suppose i'll just say my favourite bits. i got a new phone! and it's pink! it's been a bit annoying facebook app wise, but whatever, i still get the internet working fine. oh and the first thing i did was delete all of my contacts, fuckkkk. i got like 16/55 contacts back, but that's it ¬__¬
uhh i got a lot of dvds. always a good thing.
from my parents: riding in cars with boys, mystery men, thumbsucker, punch-drunk love.
from leyla: the dreamers, groundhog day, the virgin suicides.
from liv: reality bites.
with some birthday money: night at the museum 2, (500) days of summer.
everything else i got just seemed like various essentials, like shampoo, wine and clothes.
and of course a bit of money, which i bought a printer with.
as for being 19, i don't know.
honestly, i'm not happy about growing up at all. i don't like the idea of this being my final teenage year, i feel like i'm supposed to stay this way. it's bad enough i've already started to get wrinkles around my eyes.
it looks like birthdays from now on won't be a good thing for me.
i didn't tell anyone at college it was my birthday cause i felt poopie, but a lot of them said happy birthday to me, which was cutie.
and this, which made my day.
